Quirk E-Consulting
About Us:
Quirk e-Consulting contracts with software developers to supporting existing open source software projects and explore adjacent work.
We are particularly skilled at problem-solving and we use that skill to fix issues and think critically about things we create -- which ultimately leads to efficient
work and well-planned execution of projects.
This team was sponsored and created by Thomas Ballinger.
Projects:
1. bpython
From the official bpython website:
bpython is a fancy interface to the Python interpreter for Linux, BSD, OS X and Windows (with some work). bpython is released under the MIT License. It has the following (special) features:
- In-line syntax highlighting
- Readline-like autocomplete with suggestions displayed as you type.
- Expected parameter list for any Python function.
- "Rewind" function to pop the last line of code from memory and re-evaluate.
- Send the code you've entered off to a pastebin.
- Save the code you've entered to a file.
- Auto-indentation.
- Python 3 support.
2. curtsies
From the curtsies documentation website:
Curtsies, released under the MIT license, is a Python 2.6+ & 3.3+ compatible library that allows users to interact with the terminal. Curtsies is most beneficial for programmers who want to format strings in the terminal, make the terminal window update in place (and adjacently save memory and space in the terminal), make the terminal read and respond to user input, or make a window object for their project. If your project is aligned with some of these functionalities, Curtsies will prove to be useful, but if you only want to make immutable, colored strings, you may want to consider some other libraries.
